A Night of Harmony and Aspiration
When I first heard about the Choir Cluster Event, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I just knew it would be a good opportunity to teach my yearbook students how to photograph a live event. But as the night went on, I realized this event was something special—a chance to see our students learning from those who came before them.
Former and Current Bowie Students Mingling Before Show

Our Bowie Choir opened the night by singing the national anthem beautifully. Their voices, harmonized, set the tone for the evening and demonstrated the remarkable progress they have made through consistent practice and dedication.

The event became even more inspiring as I watched our band students join the high school varsity band. They championed alongside older students, getting a glimpse of what it’s like to perform at a high school game.
Celebrating to Victory

Dancing with the Stars
Our dance team had a similar experience, following the routines of the Nimitz Vikings and Irving Toy Tigers. For our students, these high school performers symbolized what they could achieve if they stick with fine arts.

By the end of the night, I realized this was a meaningful experience for all of us. My yearbook students learned to capture real moments, and I was reminded of the power of these events to inspire growth and connect our school community. This is exactly the kind of story we want to share with Bowie, showing everyone what our students can achieve together.
