This November, we had the opportunity to interview Itzabella Molina, a dedicated choir student at Bowie Middle School who achieved an incredible milestone—earning First Chair in her All-City Choir audition. Itzabella’s story is one of hard work, passion, and inspiration.

“I’m really proud of myself for getting into All-City and All-Region,” Itzabella shared. “It feels good knowing all my hard work and dedication paid off.”

When asked about her favorite memory of choir, Itzabella didn’t hesitate. “Definitely All-Region. It was such an amazing experience because of how well I did and how much I grew from it,” she said.

Itzabella credits much of her success to the countless hours spent practicing in the choir room and the guidance of her teacher, Ms. Bowen. “The practice rooms really helped me improve my skills and prepare for All-City,” she explained.

She also drew strength and inspiration from her close friends Jordan Esquivel and Wendy Morales. “Jordan and Wendy are my biggest supporters. I look up to them, and they’ve helped me push through difficulties with my singing,” she said with gratitude.

Looking ahead, Itzabella offered advice to future choir students: “Always be confident and have fun. Confidence on stage is so important, but enjoying the process is just as important.”

Reflecting on her journey through choir, Itzabella expressed her love for the program. “My favorite part has been meeting my closest friends throughout these three years. Choir has really shaped who I am.”

With her achievements and positive outlook, Itzabella is a role model for aspiring singers and a shining star in Bowie’s choir program.
